TAX VOLUNTEERS NEEDED NOW!

Do you want to make a huge difference in the life of a low-income household? Become a volunteer tax preparer and help families and individuals claim all the tax credits they deserve.

You can use this form to find out more information.  Please be sure to select South Sound Outreach as your volunteer location of choice.  We have a variety of volunteer locations throughout the county.

Training for 2012 tax season is free!   We help you get certified through the IRS to provide free basic tax preparation at VITA sites.

Volunteers commit to a weekly 3 or 4 hour shift during the 16 week tax season. This is a highly rewarding way to provide a valuable service working directly with low-income clients.

 

OFFICE VOLUNTEER

  • Are you retired or semi - retired and looking for a volunteer opportunity?  
  • Are you a recent graduate in need of experience?  
  • Are you trying to diversify your resume?  

Do you care about your community and have good written, financial and computer skills?

We are in need of volunteers for 4 or more hours/week.

The following positions are needed:

  • Administrative Assistant
  • Asset Navigator
  • Tax Preparer (for 2012)
  • Client/Resource Advocate
